Welcome to Serious Joy

Updated: Feb 8

Hey there! Welcome to my blog, "Serious Joy". I'm happy you're here. I don't know exactly what drew you here, but I can assume something about it pulled you in. Maybe you know me personally, and you're saying to yourself, "what in the world is she over here talking about." Or maybe it was something about the name of the blog, that simply spoke to you. Possibly you too could be in your season of being intentional and serious about your joy and are seeking perspective on what it means to continuously walk towards it while boldly and audaciously standing in it. If this is you, well, you are in the right place. And let it be known, you are not alone. Let's make it very clear from jump- this walk you're on is not an easy one. It's not just about being happy or finding your happy place. But rather being willing to walk through the mess, hills and valleys to ultimately enter into it.  It's not just about forward movement towards delight. But it's also about the set-backs that seemingly delay our delight, yet ultimately allow the opportunity for us to recreate a new form of it. This is your joy journey. It's about stewardship and claiming authority over our own life, purpose and destiny. This is joy at its finest. It looks like prioritizing self-care, self-preservation, self-discipline, self-reward, and self- love over the things that deter us from being and experiencing our highest good-our highest selves. It looks like being good to others by first giving yourself permission to be true to you. Furthermore, it's a conscious discipline of remaining in your most authentic form  of bliss, gratification, glow, radiance and triumph -even through some of the most untriumphant circumstances in life. If focused enough on your joy journey, what life seemingly once dealt you as a set back, can be joy handing you your come-back. A come back, not to the totality of who you once were. But a comeback to the roots and ground that always made room for you to stand firm and tall in being who you are. Consider this blog, your landing strip. Or one of many places that will support you, empower you and help grow you. You got this. A joy journey delayed is not a joy journey denied. Let's go. It's officially time for you to activate your joy.
